At the height of his career with The Hollies - the English pop band he co-founded in 1962 - he left to go to America to start supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) with David Crosby and Stephen Stills in 1968.

“As a musician, I've always reacted to my life—from the moment I open up my eyes,” Graham Nash says while prepping to release his sixth solo record, This Path Tonight, on a cold winter afternoon a few weeks into the new year. “This album is a document of a journey that I’m taking late in my life that’s stunning to me and that’s inevitable. I’m on a new path. I’ll be 74 in less than a month, providing I make it, of course. This is quite a journey for me. The music of This Path Tonight reflects that.” 

It’s been 14 years since Graham Nash released his last solo album, Songs for Survivors.

For the 74-year-old Graham Nash, his worldly perspective and zeal has been shaped by decades of tumultuous relationships, tours, unwavering conviction and experiences. His new album This Path Tonight, his first album in 14 years, will see him as his most honest and passionate yet, and however plaintive and desolate certain songs may seem, there's always a light at the end.
